Instruments
and indicators
1 – Oil pressure gauge
It indicates the engine oil pressure. In
normal operation, the needle must be
at the centre (2.5 to 5 bar). If it moves
towards 0 and at the same time the
warning light switches on, stop the car
and carry out the necessary checks. The
warning light also switches on when
the igntion key is turned to the MAR
position, but it should switch off as
soon as the engine starts.
A delay in the light going out is
permitted only when the engine is
idling. If the engine has been required
to work at maximum rate, the warning
light may flash with the engine idling
but it should go out when accelerating
lightly.
2 – Coolant temperature gauge
It indicates the temperature of the
coolant. If the needle indicates high
temperatures and at the same time the
warning light switches on, stop the car
immediately and have the cooling
system checked by the Maserati
Service Network.
21 – Rev. Counter
It indicates the engine's r.p.m. Correct
driving allows the driver to exploit the
engine performance fully, without the
need for over-revving.
